Bio:
A wiry, dark man with a hawk-like nose, Gabai is a former asshuri who became a priest of Ishtar. Gabai served years among the asshuri of his home city, slaying enemies for honor and coin. He was awarded a scimitar with a silver pommel after he had killed at least 50 men in battle. After several campaigns on foreign soils, he finally left the military life behind. Gabai tried to start a family, but the fires of battle had wrought him hard and unsuitable for peaceful life. Eventually he ended up in the service of Ishtar, in her aspect as the goddess of war.
Gabai quickly became a traveling problem solver for the priesthood, lending his scimitar to aid in troubles were piety alone was not enough. He was spending time in Argos, when the local high priestess became worried of the situation in Ophir. The high priestess of the temple island near Lodier had not sent any replies to messages sent via pigeons or couriers. As the situation in Ophir threatened to spiral in to a full blown civil war, the temple assets in the area were in dangers. Gabai was sent to investigate and if possible, save senior clerics with the treasures of the temple if they were in danger.
On the way to the temple, Gabai encountered the Nemedians. Dionysos and Tyrus convinced Gabai to accompany them to the temple. Once on the island, it became quickly obvious the island had been taken over by sinister forces. After the first night, the discoveries in the catacombs showed the island was occupied by cultists of the Golden Peacock and the Golden Lord. The heroes were forced to fight their way out and survive a terrible trip across the river in a leaking boat. Once safely on the shore, Gabai and the others parted ways. Gabai was last seen riding like thunder towards south, carrying ill news to the high priestesses.
