A skilled scribe, Yara worked in the temple of Zath in Zamora until his “recruitment” to the motley band of a strange foreign sorcerer. A short, bald and thin man, it is difficult to estimate his age. In addition to helping his master translate texts from foreign languages and research obscure works, he occasionally helps in the laboratory. The nature of the work his new master directs him to do has cost him his sanity, but he nevertheless tries to maintain a calm, stoic demeanor.
