A thrity-year old, shamelessly glib merchant of illicit wares, the origins of Zarek are a mystery. He sees his attachment to a young aristocrat of apparently Acheronian descent as a stepping stone towards greater wealth and connections, if not social advancement. With a pleasant, if forgettable, mustachied face with dark, thinning hair, Zarek prefers fine clothes and has subdued tastes.
